Y5 Fore Street Methodist Church (FSMC) Visit

Friday 4th October 2013
Wearing non-uniform in support of The Sierra Leone Mission- Bethesda House of Mercy (refuge for children), we enjoyed the opportunity to visit a local Methodist Church to commence our RE topic learning about ‘Methodism in Cornwall’. Accompanied by fantastic weather, a memorable learning experience was had by all.
Please have a look through our photo gallery to see more….
Many thanks to all at FSMC.

I learned so much on this visit Year 5! How exciting that we were the first to know about the change of name from ‘Primitive Methodist Church’ to the really cool name of ‘FSMC’ (Fore Street Methodist Church).

Rodney told us soooooo much cool things about Methodism! For example I had absolutely no idea that John Wesley visited St.Ives about 30 times!

WOW I learnt so much at the FSMC (Fore Street Methodist Church) I had a great time exploring the church. It surprised me that the organ had been in the church since in was made by the fishermen and I also liked the room where the babies played while their mum or dad prayed.
