The year 6 staycationers enjoyed an action packed 3 days! A trip to the woods gave pupils an opportunity to work together as a team to build a shelter using just a rope and a sheet of tarpaulin. They managed to create a fantastic shelter which was put to the test when the heavens opened! The rest of our time was spent making leaf compasses, climbing trees, playing on rope swings and exploring: all in the spirit of the Curiosity Challenge.
The following day pupils researched, designed and made tie-dye t-shirts and bags with lots of creativity and some super outcomes. A wheels afternoon followed with pupils creating various courses for each other to try out in between practising their skateboarding and scooting skills.
Sticking with the tie-dye theme pupils decided to end their activities with baking rainbow cakes on which they then took to Gwel an Mor in the afternoon. The cakes were delicious and gave all involved the energy boost they needed to tackle the challenges of the climbing walls. We hope you enjoy the photos.
